Executive Order from an Idiot

Before you get offended, or encouraged, from the title of this post... this is simply my 5th post in a series I'm calling "Informed Idiot"'s ME, I'm the IDIOT and this post is about the order of the Executive Branch, I wasn't implying anything else 😬

To recap...There are 3 levels of elected officials: FEDERAL, state, and local.

There are 3 branches of the FEDERAL level: judicial, legislative, and EXECUTIVE.

The 3rd branch of the Federal Government is the EXECUTIVE branch and employs more than 4 million Americans because it includes our Armed Forces. The executive branch consists of the President, his advisors, and various departments and agencies. This branch is responsible for enforcing the laws of the land

The power of the Executive Branch is vested in the President of the United States, who acts as head of state and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. The Vice President is also part of the Executive Branch, ready to assume the Presidency should the need arise.

The President appoints other top members of the Executive branch known as the Cabinet. Cabinet secretaries advise the president and run the 15 departments of the executive branch ( Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, and the Attorney General. ) Additionally, the Cabinet includes the White House Chief of Staff, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, the Director of National Intelligence, and the US Trade Representative.

They are joined by other executive agencies such as the CIA and Environmental Protection Agency, the heads of which are not part of the Cabinet, but who are under the full authority of the President. The President also appoints the heads of more than 50 independent federal commissions, such as the Federal Reserve Board or the Securities and Exchange Commission

The Cabinet and independent federal agencies are responsible for the day-to-day enforcement and administration of federal laws.
